Men's Black Socks

Go by the US men's size of your shoe. Both of our labels use shoe sizes, Medium (US M 5-⁠9 / W 6.5-⁠10.5) and Large (US M 9-⁠13 / W 11-⁠14). If you only know an Australian size, look for the US size inside your shoe or on its box.

Either a low cut or a long one works with shorts. With trainers, the low pick is Ankle Tab on the ankle bone, or our quarter crew socks a step higher. For the gym or the court, plenty of blokes wear black Crew pulled up with shorts. Mid-Crew is the in-between, about 4cm shorter than Crew.

Stick to one cut in one size and you won't need to, because any two black socks in the drawer make a pair. If you keep more than one cut, their heights tell them apart. Crew stands about 4cm taller than Mid-Crew and Quarter sits between the ankle and Mid-Crew. Ankle Tab is the one with a tab above the heel.

Pick a pair that stays comfortable through 12 to 17 hour days. Every pair has a seamless toe, a Y-heel and soft terry loop cushioning under the foot and through the Achilles.
