Sweaty feet across the week

In one week you could wear leather shoes to the office, work boots on site, runners to the gym and golf shoes on a Saturday. Cotton socks soak up sweat in every one of them. When you pull a pair off at 6pm, it's damp through and starting to smell.

We use recycled COOLMAX® yarn in every pair of our moisture wicking socks because it dries faster than cotton, bamboo and wool. We add silver yarn to the footbed to kill the bacteria that live off your sweat. Every pair has soft terry loop cushioning underfoot, a heel knitted at 90 degrees to follow your foot and a stretchy cuff that stays put.

Picking a cut and a size

With dress shoes, RMs or work boots, reach for our crew socks, the office-to-gym sock. Our mid-crew socks go with boots, trainers, chinos and shorts. Lower down, our quarter crew socks and ankle socks suit runners, golf shoes and warm days. All four cuts sit in our gym socks and can tackle any run. They come in two sizes, US M 5-9 / W 6.5-10.5 and US M 9-13 / W 11-14.

Why we made them

We're Dan and Matt, twin brothers from Adelaide, a lawyer and an accountant. Our days ran from morning meetings to a workout at lunch. Because our dress socks were soaked through by midday, we built the pair we could never find. Now one clean pair a day covers the whole week.

What are good quality men's socks?

Good quality socks keep your feet dry and cushioned through a long day. We knit ours from COOLMAX yarn and give every pair soft terry loop cushioning, arch support, a seamless toe, breathable mesh ventilation in the forefoot and a reinforced heel and toe. Our 90 degree heel follows your foot's shape and the stretchy cuff keeps each pair in place as you move.

What size socks do men wear?

Go by your US shoe size. We make two sizes, US M 5-9 / W 6.5-10.5 and US M 9-13 / W 11-14. The bigger one runs up to a US men's 13. Each one also carries a women's label, because every sock we make is unisex.

What are the different sock lengths?

From the ankle up, ours are Ankle Tab on the ankle bone, Quarter between the ankle and Mid-Crew, Mid-Crew above the ankle bone and Crew below the calf. Crew is about 4cm longer than Mid-Crew. Pick one by how much sock you want showing above your shoe.

How many pairs of socks should you own?

You want enough for a clean pair every day until wash day. If you change into gym socks after work, that's two pairs a day through the wash. Because ours go from the office to the gym without a change, one pair covers the day. Mix the cuts to suit your shoes across the week.

Are expensive socks worth it?

They are when one pair lasts for years and does the job of your work socks and your gym socks. Cheap cotton socks hold sweat against your skin. We reinforce the heel and toe on every DryStep pair and knit it to hold its shape wash after wash.
